Item is a book used by Robert Logan while he was a prisoner of war in Germany. Karlsruhe is stamped on title page and on the inside cover is listed the camps he was held in: Karlsruhe (April 8, 1917); Heidelberg; Krefeld; Schwalmstadt (Ziegenhain prison); Holtzminden (Offizier Gefangenenlager); and Schweidnitz (December 25, 1918).

Leutnant Schafer is credited with shooting down the British plane piloted by Captain R. A. Logan on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1917 near Cambrai, France.
