File contains correspondence between the Upstream Music Association and the Canada Council relating to Upstream's request for funding to support a collaborative project between themselves and two Japanese artists, Akikazu Nakamura and Miwa Inaba. The proposed works for the CD were: "Nocturne" by Steven Naylor; "Don't Hold Back" by Jeff Reilly; "Chipper" by Don Palmer; "Immortal Coil" by Paul Cram; "Change is a Time for Celebration" by Sandy Moore; "Valse Triste" by Robert Bauer; and "Available Light" by Steve Tittle. At the point of application, the Undercurrent Recording label did not exist, but Steven Naylor, Jeff Reilly, and Paul Cram were discussing its creation.
