File contains administrative documents pertaining to the College of Pharmacy from 1961 to 1971, a period when Dr. J. Gordon Duff would have been director of the college. Documents include correspondence between Duff and Dr. K.M. James, Duff and William R. Townsend of Kenneth Staples Drug Company Ltd., and between C.R. McLean and Henry Hicks with Duff CCed. File also includes a College of Pharmacy preliminary calendar for 1962-1963, financial papers, a Faculty of Arts and Science pamphlet, a pharmaceutical education recommendations document, and a document on new regulations for fees for the school session of 1961-1962.
File contains director reports for the College of Pharmacy. Dr. J. Gordon Duff authored the reports for 1961-1962 and 1963-1964, while acting director K.M. James authored the report for 1970-1971. File also contains reports from 1969-1970 and 1972 with no author assigned to them, as well as student statistics, possibly used to write one of the reports.
File contains a assortment of textual records that may have been related to a course on the history of pharmacy, including photocopies of journal articles, handwritten notes, asetats, short texts on pharmacy history and its symbols, as well as pamphlets and endowment documents.
File contains College of Pharmacy newsletters, including the DUCPAD Dispatch, The College of Pharmacy Transition News, Pharmacy Phorum, and The Bulletin. File also contains a College of Pharmacy Transition Team holiday card, and a College of Pharmacy Curricular Restructuring and Innovation pamphlet from April 1996.
File contains records related to the College of Pharmacy, such as number 3 and 4 from volume 7 of D.S.P.S.'s InPHARMation newsletter, number 18 volume 25 of DalNews from 1995, issue 3 volume 1 of the DUCPAD Dispatch in 1997, the number 1 issues of volume 1, 2, and 3 of the Pharmacy Endowment Fund, an older letterhead from the Maritime College of Pharmacy, a special report on pharmacy education in the Atlantic provinces, correspondence with Charles Armour of the Dalhousie University archives in 1995, and a special 65th anniversary issue of the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy.
File contains three groupings of documents, the first is a College of Pharmacy report for estimated expenditures for 1961-1962 with handwritten notes, the second is a document entitled "Proposals for a graduate program in the College of Pharmacy, and the third are handwritten Nova Scotia Pharmaceutical Society (NSPS) proceedings spanning from June of 1961 to June of 1977.
File contains textual records pertaining to refresher courses given by the College of Pharmacy's Division of Continuing Pharmacy Education. The 2004 program celebrates the 40th year of offering the course (1964-2004). The second document is the program for the 1965 course, with the title "Hospital Pharmacy Institute".
File contains lists of recipients of various pharmacy scholarships, medals, and prizes from Dalhousie University, mostly within the College of Pharmacy. File also contains correspondence between J. Gordon Duff and K. Bradshaw of Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd., and between Duff and Malcolm Fruin of Eli Lilly and Company Ltd.
File contains lists of students who attended the College of Pharmacy, including lists of graduates, award recipients, students in residency, as well as lists of College of Pharmacy staff members. File also contains a convocation program from May 1962 and a list of UA-16 (Faculty of Health Professions) records pertaining to the College of Pharmacy in the Dalhousie University Archives.
File contains 7 photographs of Dalhousie students and buildings from various years, some are labelled with the dates and the names of the individuals in the photos. File also contains a photocopy of the invitation for the class of 1952 reunion.
