Dr Hugh Bell was born on 22 February 1889 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Charles Bell and Isabella Jane Ray. At the time of his death on 25 October 1957, he was working as a botanist for the Research Council of Nova Scotia. He was married to Mary Margeurite Bell.
Records were donated to the Dalhousie University Archives by Dr. Brian Hall in accession (2017-018) in May 2017.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of notebooks created by Hugh Bell during plant-collecting trips around Nova Scotia.
