Mark Clifford became associated with the Centre for Art Tapes in 1984 because of their involvement in a video recording entitled “3 videos by Halifax independent producers” which became a part of the centre’s tape collection.

Custodial history

The tape was donated to the Dalhousie University Archives in 2013 by the Centre for Art Tapes.

Scope and content

Item consists of three video works created in 1984: Monoltage by Mark Clifford; Suburban Stress by Mark Verabioff; Red by Sara Newman and Carol Millett . These might be the first scholarship tapes according to a conversation with Liz MacDougall on February 11th, 2007. Videos part of Halifax Independent Producers series (5 of 5).
