Includes correspondence, meeting minutes (detailing the election of Elisabeth Mann Borgese as Chair, and other administrative business), a draft agenda, and a membership list. The file also contains material relating to the Second Session of the Planning Council, including correspondence regarding the peaceful uses of the Arctic Basin project. The file also contains the first provisional agenda for the Pacem in Maribus (PIM) Preparatory Conference on Caribbean and Gulf Development and its Impact on the Marine Environment (held October 26-28, 1972 in Kingston, Jamaica). As well, there is a copy of "The Arvid Pardo Award for Research on the Concept of the Common Heritage of Mankind," a paper likely by Elisabeth Mann Borgese.
