Name of creator
Clive Robertson is an artist, curator, critic and art historian. Robertson received his MFA in Performance Art studies from the University of Reading in 1971 and PhD in Communication Studies from Concordia in 2006. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Art History and Art Conservation department at Queen’s University. Clive has exhibited performance and video works nationally and internationally. Robertson advocated for the artist-run centre movement by directing production and physical spaces for artworks in the 1970s and 1980s.
The tape was donated to the Dalhousie University Archives in 2013 by the Centre for Art Tapes.
Scope and content
Item is a set of two videos that documents a multi-media performance. In the performance, Clive Robertson dresses as Joseph Beuys while reading the news.

Descriptive information was taken from the Centre for Art Tapes videotape archive in the Fall of 1990. Descriptions were written and compiled by David Johnson and Mindy Miller. The information was entered into a database at the Centre for Art Tapes by Tom Power on April 4, 2006. The archival description was revised on March 16, 2015 by the Dalhousie University Archives.
