Biographical history

Born in 1936 in Toronto, Ontario; Dr. Eric Mills received his B.Sc. in Biology with First Class Honours from Carleton University in 1959. He then went on to early both his masters and doctorate from Yale University 1962 and 1964 respectively.

Mills earliest work was in Marine Ecology, where he studied amphipod crustacea and completed the most complete description of the biology of the morphological and allometric pair of amphipod sibling species. This led to working on the Hudson 70 Expedition, which was the first Canadian biological oceanographic work in the Antarctic. Eric Mills is a professor of Oceanography at Dalhousie University.
