History
Dalhousie University's Computing and Information Services was created in the fall of 1984 with the appointment of its first executive director, Peter Jones, who also held an appointment in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computing Science. The appointment reflected a major reorganization of computing services at Dalhousie.
