A constitution for the world by Elisabeth Mann Borgese

File contains a copy of a proposal by Elisabeth Mann Borgese on the elements needed for a world constitution. The document builds off her work on the Chicago Committee to Frame a World Constitution, and was based on a series of seminars held at the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions between 1966-1967. This version contains some handwritten corrections/annotations.

A constitution for the oceans [by Arvid Pardo]

File contains two copies of "A Constitution for the Oceans," a work by Arvid Pardo, written after the conclusion of the Sixth Session of the United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea. One version contains handwritten annotions and corrections. The file also includes other drafts which may or may not be from the same work.

A bill concerning the law of the sea

A copy of a bill, possibly used in a student parliament or another forum, on the need for Canada to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. A version of this resolution was drafter by Elisabeth Mann Borgese, and sent to Halifax Member of Parliament Mary Clancy, see MS-2-744, Box 288, Folder 8 for a copy.
