Henry Orenstein's records

Series consists of Henry Orenstein's materials regarding his professional activities, including photographs, negatives, sketches, programs, flyers, posters, postcards, slides, correspondence and other materials. Fonds contains several of Henry Orenstein's art pieces and sketches, including related to the "Sudbury Industrial Landscape" project. In the 1950s, Henry Orenstein was commissioned by the Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers of Sudbury to paint a mural for the local union hall, which was the centre of a broad-ranging cultural role of Mine Mill Local 598 in the Sudbury area. At that time, Mine Mill was in the midst of a series of raids by the United Steelworkers.

Administration records of Eyelevel Gallery

Series provides contextual information on the organization and administration of the Eyelevel Gallery and the activities of its Board of Directors. Included are administrative records, minutes, annual reports, official status documentation and bylaws of the Gallery, and records from the Gallery's involvement with other associations.

Series contains Jill Grant's records from the Joint Review Panel for the Whites Point Quarry and Marine Terminal Project. Materials include the project's environmental impact statement, transcripts from scoping meetings and public hearings, records of the Joint Review Panel, reference and research materials, correspondence, maps and photographs, and other records. The series provides a comprehensive record of the activities of the Joint Review Panel, which was made up by Jill Grant, Robert Fournier and Gunter Muecke.

Series contains records produced in the course of Jill Grant’s teaching at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and Dalhousie University. This series is divided into subseries by course title; much of the material was removed intact from teaching binders and illustrates the evolution of courses taught over a range of years.
