Cashfire

Series consists of records documenting the creative and legal activities of this project. The project was a potential feature film about the story of a Russian immigrant in the United States who finds herself caught up in a financial scandal. It was intended to be co-produced with a Russian production company. This series contains an agreement, a script, and a synopsis.

Town of Maitland papers

This series consists of records relating to the town of Maitland. Types of records include poor rates collected and lists of voters.

Journals and ledgers

Series contains books held as examples of accounting and record keeping by the company. Records kept by the company include appraisal reports, wood purchasing summaries, payroll journals, and survey notes. This series also contains one file titled "Scrapbook" which contains a significant number of newspaper and magazine clippings regarding both Scott Paper Company and the more general pulp and paper industry.

Photographs of the Scott Paper Company

Series consists of photos taken or commissioned by Scott Paper Company. These photos are primarily of scenes in or around Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, including images of the pulp factory and other buildings, pulp ships, and natural disasters including flooding and hurricane damage, as well as factory equipment and machinery, and employees. There are also "microphotos" that show different varieties of pulp fabricated by the company from a microscopic range. Many of the photos are not dated, and people in the photos are not identified. Material in this series has been removed to the archives' photographic collection (PC-4).

Reports

This series contains reports and policies relevant to pulp and paper mill operations, which were published by or for the Scott Paper Company. These include the annual reports of the company, as well as statements and estimations of land ownership and labour potential.

Administration records of the Maritime School of Social Work

This series includes the following types of materials: reports and statistics, admissions files (including student applications, interviews and correspondence), policy statements and general regulations, staff and committee meeting minutes and files, student services information (including Orientation and general registration packets), registrar files, facilities reports (including repairs, renovations, space planning, environmental health and safety, and relocation files), general correspondence, permits, contracts, agreements and program reviews.

Institute of Public Affairs Library

Series includes materials relating to the operation and administration of the Institute of Public Affairs’ library, including staff records, inventory lists, and items that the library collected for its collections/displays. More specifically, the records include: newspaper clippings of relevance to working projects and correspondence with external partners of the IPA; programs, brochures, and correspondence from American universities and colleges; annual reports and papers regarding the functioning of the library; staff records; promotional materials for the IPA; and collected resources on publishing.

Events and Association-sponsored Activities

This series contains information related to the amalgamation of Dalhousie University and the Technical University of Nova Scotia, various university campaigns, the Dalhousie Centenary celebrations, World War I, buildings and memorials on campus, track and field meets, reunions and sponsored events.

Francoise Baylis's teaching records

Series contains records produced in the course of Françoise Baylis's teaching, and is divided into subseries for records related to hospital teaching (Grand Rounds) and those related to university teaching. Record types include course outlines and syllabi, lecture and presentation notes, assignments and exams, and teaching evaluations.

Patient information

Series conists of records on patient and dispensary activities, prenatal cases, patient registers, and patient applications. The application forms include the patients' names, addresses, household earnings, and the reasons why they needed to use the services of the dispensary.

Personal papers

Series documents research and writing done by Lawrence Johnston Burpee on James De Mille. Research include biographical information on James De Mille, such as published biographies, newspaper clippings, genealogical information and bibliographic indexes. Writings include a lecture script and a biographical manuscript with numerous extracts from James De Mille's work.

Personal archives of John Eric Woodhouse Oland

Series consists of bank statements, Canadian Department of National Defence records, photographs, and personal correspondence. Files in the series were mixed in the Oland and Son fonds (MS-4-135). No other records from John Eric Woodhouse Oland are known to exist.
