File contains correspondence, which concerns a series of updated Law of the Sea brochures that were prepared by International Ocean Institute (IOI) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and printed by IOI-Costa Rica. Includes drafts versions of "The Law of the Sea and the South Pacific" by G. Robin South and Posa A. Skelton (IOI-South Pacific), "The Caribbean in the Twenty-First Century" by IOI-Costa Rica, "The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea in the Twenty-First Century" by Elisabeth Mann Borgese, "The Mediterranean Sea in the Twenty-First Century," by Mann Borgese, and "The Indian Ocean in the Twenty-First Century" by IOI-India (some of the drafts have comments and corrections, some of which are by Mann Borgese); and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between UNEP and the IOI (along with sample MOUs from UNEP). The file also includes copies of the earlier 1991 brochures produced by UNEP/IOI: "The Oceans, the Convention and You" by Mann Borgese; "The Law of the Sea and the Caribbean" by Mann Borgese; "The Law of the Sea and the Indian Ocean" by Shanti Wickremeratne; "The Law of the Sea and the Mediterranean" by Aldo E. Chircop; and "The Law of the Sea and the South Pacific" by Kilifoti Eteuati.
