Biographical history

Robert N. Anderson was a commercial ship's captain. He commanded the schooner Corona in the 1880s and the S.S. Winona in the late 1910s, carrying freight between the United States and the United Kingdom and elsewhere.

Custodial history

Records were purchased by the Dalhousie University Archives from Larry Fillmore in accession (1983-089) on 28 April 1982.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of materials regarding Captain Robert N. Anderson's activities as a shipmaster, including a ship's logbook, a bill of sale for the schooner Corona and receipts of goods freighted by the Corona. Records also include correspondence sent to Anderson by his family.
