Biographical history

Dr. Corston was born in Halifax on March 12, 1879. He received his early education at the Halifax Academy and graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1898 and an M.D. in 1902.

He established a medical practice in Halifax, which he maintained his entire professional career. Dr. Corston joined the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine in 1913 and was for many years Associate Professor of Medicine and Clinical Medicine. He retired in 1945 from this postion and passed away on August 17, 1963.

Custodial history

Accession 41-75. The records were donated by Mrs. John Corston, of Halifax, in 1975.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of student registration tickets, examinations, and various papers while studying at Dalhousie.
