It writes about John Macrae’s role in WWI as Gunner of the Canadian Field Artillery and as a Medical Doctor in the Canadian Medical Unit. Item is a 38 page draft letter written by JP Landry to the Honorable J.K MacDonald, then Minister of Agriculture of Nova Scotia, on January 12, 1938. While most of the draft is handwritten, it includes a 2 page print report for the Antigonish C. Poultry Association in 1936. Also includes Minutes of the 36th annual report as manager of the Poultry Department at the Agricultural College and Provincial Poultry Husbandman." - signed by J.P.Landry, Jan. 12, 1938.
Fonds contains records created and collected by Harry Brown related to sheep in Nova Scotia and Canada. There are two series', one in the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers Limited, and the second includes records related to the exhibition and breeding of sheep, and Nova Scotia Sheep Breeders Association records. Records are meeting minutes, financial records, correspondence, and memorandums.
Fonds contains some of the policies of Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing in 1996, correspondence from department staff from 1907 and 1972. There are Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing scrapbooks of clippings of agricultural activity in Nova Scotia from 1900 to 1949. Entries include pencil drawings of animals and plants, newspaper clippings, as well as agricultural events around Nova Scotia from the NS Dept. of Agriculture annual reports. Scrapbooks also include pictures of Nova Scotia Agricultural College buildings, animal breeds, and events on campus. There are also annual reports of various departments of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, and transcripts for Garden Guide Radio from 1980-1998.
