Hosptial for Officers in London, updating his recovery, outlining recent pleasure reading, and discussing a chance visit with a friend from Halifax whose discussions reminded Jones that "Victoria Road is after all just around the corner."

Raddall, Sr. marked his position in the parade on the front with an x: he is the fifth from the left in the foremost line, wearing a long, dark overcoat that nearly reaches his ankles.

Raddall, Sr. was a former instructor in the School of Musketry at Hythe, and was killed while commanding the Winnipeg Rifles, Canadian Expeditionary Force at Amiens France on August 9, 1918.
