Correspondence, notes and playwright's agreement re. Bring Back Don Messer!

File includes correspondence between Christopher Heide, Michel Fahey and Ed McKenna of the Mulgrave Road Co-op. There is also a letter written from Heide to Larry Lillo, at Tamahnous Theatre, Vancouver, as well as a chronology of events between September 1970 and March 1983 regarding the script's creation and possible remounting.

File includes correspondence, notes, manuscripts, a contract, evaluations forms, reviews and a chronology outlining the project from its conception as "Grandmother's Story" through to Christopher Heide's residency at Mermaid Theatre and the company's workshop production of "I Ain't Dead Yet."

Fonds consists of records relating to Renton's personal life as well as his acting and teaching careers. The personal papers include files on specific actors, athletics, clippings and publications, festivals and workshops, financial records, Portus Theatre Productions (the production company he founded), school-related theatrical education materials, committee work, unions, associations, and a variety of other subjects. Correspondence includes letters to, from, and about Renton and are primarily theatre-related. The scripts were accumulated by Renton throughout his career as an actor, director, and producer. The fonds also includes photographs and slides of numerous theatrical productions.
