The Dalhousie Review fonds

Fonds was organized by the processing archivist into editorial, financial, production and administrative series, and further sub-series such as correspondence, reports and meeting minutes. The bulk of correspondence dates from the 1970s-1990s, although there are financial and committee records from the 1950s and limited other records from the journal's inception in 1921.

File is a photograph of retiring chairmen for a health-related board use in the 1974 edition of MeDal. Photograph was published in the 1974 edition of MeDal by the Medical Dalhousie Alumni. Chairmen identified, left to right: President Hicks; Dr. Clennel Evelyn van Rooyen; Dr Lloyd MacPherson (Dean of the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine); Dr. James Soloman Hammerling; and Dr. Richard Loraine de Chasteney Holbourne Saunders.

Correspondence from Daniel G. Mason

File contains a letter from Daniel G. Mason of Columbia University concerning a poem that John Daniel Logan submitted for publication in the "New Music Review." The file includes the copy of the poem that Logan submitted, which is on the work of the composer Lowell Mason (1792-1872), Daniel G. Mason's grandfather. The file also includes a manuscript copy of a poem, possibly by Jean Grey, dated June 15, 1913.

Reference cards

Series contains a collection of Brian Hall's reference cards used for citations. Materials include two sharp card sorters used for cohesively organising and finding individual groups of cards. There are approximately 20 000 reference cards. The cards deal with a variety of scientific topics, including but not limited to: the effects of mechanical stress on cartilage in vitro; a clinical overview of neurofibramitosis; and the growth of the facial skeleton in the hominoidea. The card sorters are located in Box 6.
