The recording includes two parts: a speech by Donna Passmore, the national organizer of the event, on the history of Clayoquot Sound (14 min., 57 sec.); and a speech by David Orton from Pictou County (8 min., 11 sec.). The recording aired August 30, 1993 and was rebroadcast the same day on The Evening Affair.
