File contains a copy of Budge Wilson's short story "The Dandelion Garden : A Modern Fable for Elderly Children," as it appeared in the "Integrated Language Arts Anthology" (1995) for Grade 6 students, and two copies of the Permissions Request form from ScottForesman to Budge Wilson for the non-exclusive reprint rights to this short story (originally published in her anthology "The Dandelion Garden and Other Stories").

Drafts and other documents for Anna's Pet

File includes correspondence, licensing and royalty information, a draft of the book with illustrations, a published copy of the book, and the publishing agreement with Lorimer for the children's book Anna's Pet by Joyce Barkhouse and Margaret Atwood. The file also has two photographs from a puppet adaptation of Anna's Pets by Mermaid Theatre, directed by Fred Thury and designed by Tom Miller. Two other stories by Margaret Atwood, "Flying Rabbits and their Ancestors" and "Silent Sam and the Singing Sausage from Saturn" are also included.

Fonds consists of records relating to Renton's personal life as well as his acting and teaching careers. The personal papers include files on specific actors, athletics, clippings and publications, festivals and workshops, financial records, Portus Theatre Productions (the production company he founded), school-related theatrical education materials, committee work, unions, associations, and a variety of other subjects. Correspondence includes letters to, from, and about Renton and are primarily theatre-related. The scripts were accumulated by Renton throughout his career as an actor, director, and producer. The fonds also includes photographs and slides of numerous theatrical productions.

Fonds includes financial, legal, administrative and human resources materials dating from the local's founding in 1955, providing insight into the development of the organization's policies and procedures, and also illustrating the broader labour movement and role of unions in shaping the political and social landscape in Nova Scotia. The records provide evidence of the union's administrative and operational functions and activities, including contract negotiation, grievance administration, dues remittance, pension fund administration, membership and labour advocacy, workers' training and education and strike coordination. The records were created by the local's office staff, business managers, executive board, elected officials, Board of Trustees, membership and business associates. Earlier records (pre-1955) became part of the IBEW Local 1928 archive when other IBEW Locals were amalgamated with 1928.

United States Department of Commerce New Steel Rail Except Light Rail

Subseries contains records created and collected by Gil Winham during his membership on dispute settlement panels under the Free Trade Agreement. The bulk of the records are related to a countervailing duty case launched by the US Department of Commerce against alleged subsidies given by the Canadian and Nova Scotia governments to Sysco Steel Corps. Records include questionnaires sent by the Department of Commerce to the Canadian governments and industry to gather information in connection with this case, which led the US to impose an additional duty of 113% on steel rails coming from Sysco.
