Collection assembled by William Morse reflected his research interests and his ideas on what works should be available for consultation by serious scholars. The exploration and early settlement of Acadia, the history of the Maritimes, the evolution of printing, the book arts, important classics in both the humanities and the sciences, the works of Bliss Carman and George Santayana, works about General James Wolfe, and Norse legends are the major research fields represented.

Offprint pamphlets from The Protestant

File contains three off-printed pamphlets published by the house of Kenneth Leslie's 1940's periodical The Protestant.

The first pamphlet, ten pages long, is written by Harold L. Ickes, entitled "Protestantism answers hate", was the text of an address delivered by Ickes, Secretary of the Interior, to the 'Protestantism answers hate dinner forum' at the Hotel Roosevelt on Tuesday, February 25, 1941. It did not appear in The Protestant.

The second pamphlet, six pages long in a triptych format, is written by Gerald Richardson, associate editor of The Protestant, entitled "Who is anti-Catholic? A letter which clarifies the position of a true liberal democratic Roman Catholic". The letter previously appeared in the March 1945 issue of The Protestant.

Th third pamphlet, eight pages long, was written by Abraham Pomerantz (and contains an introduction by Kenneth Leslie) entitled "Dissent becomes disloyalty". The article previously appeared in the December 1947 issue of The Protestant.

Notices of Budge Wilson's appearances

File contains newspaper and magazine clippings, newsletters, posters, programs, and flyers, advertising appearances (mainly readings) by Budge Wilson at various places, including writers' unions, libraries, schools, book stores, and book festivals.

File contains a pamphlet advertising a series of records containing fairy tales in French recorded by the Educational Department of the Columbia Graphophone Company by Marguerite Clement, professor of French language and literature at the Lyceum of Marseilles and the University of Paris.

Text of songs

File contains two copies of a booklet containing the texts (in English) of various songs, likely from a concert. The songs include arias, lieder, and popular songs by Giuseppe Verdi, Jules Massenet, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Michael Arne, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Georges Bizet, J. Rogers, Frank La Forge, Arthur Foote, Arthur Rubenstein, Walter Scott, Johann Strauss, and Edward W. Bryant.

This sub-series contains 135 photographs and 3 paintings. Some of these photographs have attached newspaper clippings, pamphlets, postcard, or article. Graphic material depict sheep and lambs of various breeds, either showing in various farms, pastures, and exhibition events. Additionally, there are photographs of members of sheep related associations and businesses. These were taken between 1940-2002.
