The recording includes two parts: a speech by Donna Passmore, the national organizer of the event, on the history of Clayoquot Sound (14 min., 57 sec.); and a speech by David Orton from Pictou County (8 min., 11 sec.). The recording aired August 30, 1993 and was rebroadcast the same day on The Evening Affair.

Item is a photograph of Annie May Fleighler, who was married to Frederick Heartz. She was born in Prince Edward Island in 1878, and died in New Glasgow in 1963. She is buried in the Haliburton cemetery in Pictou County.
