Handwritten copy of the poem "The Decision," by E.J. Pratt, accompanied by a condolence letter from Viola Pratt to Mrs. Harris Esterbrooks upon the death of her son. The poem is dated 1923, but Viola Pratt's 1949 letter indicates that her husband copied it to accompany her correspondence.

This fonds consists primarily of records related to the Board of Governors collected by Farquhar during his time on the board, including minutes; the report A Survey and Plan of Fund-raising for Dalhousie University; and a file of correspondence, newspaper clippings, and publications related to President Stanley Carleton’s resignation.

The fonds also includes some other miscellaneous materials collected by Farquhar related to the history of Dalhousie or the province, and associations/events with which he was involved.
