Item is an unsolicited manuscript reproduction of a piano sonata by David Willens, sent to Ellen Ballon by the Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Music on December 18, 1959. File includes a letter from the Society to Ellen Ballon. The composition was "dedicated to the memory of Alexander Guroff."

Item is a copy of a manuscript composition by Alan Hovhaness, inscribed to Ellen Ballon. The composition is based on an Armenian folktale and is comprised of two movements, each of which imitates Armenian instruments (tmpoog for the first movement and the kanoon and oud in the second movement).
