This series contains a training program relating to agriculture, created with the collaboration of Francisco de Paula Santander University and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College.

Columbia project

This sub-series contains records that were created and used in the partnership project with the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander (Columbia) in the development of a Training Program in Sustainable Agriculture at UFPS both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The program ran between 1997 and 2002. The Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander (UFPS) has been asked to play a key role in “El Salto Social”, the social leap forward, in the Santander region of Colombia. New curricula will be introduced at UFPS, faculty will be upgraded and new extension and outreach programs established with the assistance of NSAC through this project. Other project partners are the Universidad de la Republica Uruguay (URU) of Uruguay and Saint Mary’s University (SMU). This is an Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) University Program for Cooperation in Development (UPCD) Tier 2 project led by NSAC. Special events and celebrations

This series contains photos, documents, flyers, and scripts regarding special events and celebrations at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. These includes exhibitions, dramas, open houses, commencements, etc. between 1971-2005.

Founding day dinner program 1988

This file contains two programs (8.5x11 inches, folded in half) to the Nova Scotia Agricultural College Founding Day (Founder's Day) banquet held on 12 February, 1988 at Jenkins Hall. Included list of participants as follows: 1. Rev. D.I. MacEachern 2. N.S.A.C. Chorale 3. Dr. Bernard MacDonald, N.S.T.C. 4. Mr. Art Weatherby, Village Commission 5. Mr. J.E. Shuh , Professor Emeritus 6. Dr H.F. MacRae, Principal 7. Mr R.E. Morehouse, N.S., Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Marketing. 8. Mr Victor Saxon, Director 9. 2012 graduates time capsule

This file contains one wooden time capsule created by the graduating class of 2012, the last class of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College before they merged with Dalhousie University. They were to put about 50 articles in the time capsule, including pictures, a bottle of wine made at the college, frosh beanies, written memories and a synopsis of NSAC and banquet programs. Graduates had the opportunity to place their items in the time capsule during an awards banquet and was on the stage during their convocation ceremony. It was kept in the college's Cumming Hall for a short time before being donated to the Agricola Archives. It was the idea of Matthew Lawless, BSc, Co-chair of the graduating class, Jonathan Waugh and Jessica Dowe. It was built by Chris Nelson, NSAC Engineering Technician. It's about three feet by 12 inches and is made of pine and an exotic wood from South America called paduk. The time capsule will be opened when the Class of ‘12 meets for their 50th class reunion in the year 2062.

Sheep fairs

This sub-series contains textual records, which includes correspondences, brochures, flyers, sales records, and programs, relating to sheep fairs of the Sheep Producers' Association of Nova Scotia. These were published between 1973-1983.

This file contains programs from the special attractions at the Canadian National Exhibition; the Nova Scotia Exhibitions, and the Maritime Winter Fair Prize List.

Sheep Producers' Association of Nova Scotia

This series contains textual records, related to the sheep business, published by the Sheep Producer's Association of Nova Scotia between 1958-2002. It is arranged into twelve sub series: General Correspondence and Papers, Director's Meeting Minutes, Membership Meeting Minutes, Membership Lists, Sheep Fairs, Specific Correspondence, Lamb Marketing, Promotions, and Various Subjects/Topics.

Scrapbook

The file consists of a scrapbook of agricultural activity in Nova Scotia from 1900 to 1949. Entries include pencil drawings of animals and plants, newspaper clippings, pictures of NSAC buildings, breeds, and events on campus as well as agricultural events around Nova Scotia from the NS Dept. of Agriculture Annual reports.
