Fonds contains William McKenzie's notebook and several loose sheets detailing timber purchases; three memos to William McKenzie, including one from Jessie Hoyt, who managed the company; the second [1896] and third [1898] published annual reports of the Relief Fund Association of the Employees of the Acadia Colliery; a Fairbanks Standard Scales catalogue; and the Westville business directory [1897].
Fonds contains three product catalogues produced by the Acadia Gas Engine Company. The earliest dated catalogue was published in January, 1969 and another was published in 1973. One catalogue is undated.
File contains materials relating to Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project speaking engagements at Acadia University. Materials include cue cards and speaking notes, two copies of the syllabus for Sociology 380X1 Lesbian and Gay Studies from the Winter 2004 and Winter 2006 semesters, related correspondence dated 2007, and notes.
Item consists of a handwritten addresses delivered by Arthur Stanley MacKenzie at the 75th anniversary celebration of Acadia University, as well as the Alumni Dinner, both on May 28, 1913.

Item is an audio recording of performance for "La Boheme" in the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium at the Dalhousie Arts Centre made by Sheila Piercey on September 17, 1980. Handwritten notes on the label inserted in the case read: "Side II. Actual performance on Sept 17/80. Plus recital by Gloria Richard (C.B.C. Sept 18/80) Beethoven, Brahms, Dupare." The recording is on side B of audio cassette.
File is an audio reel containing an episode of The Word is Out, a radio program broadcast on CKDU radio 88.1. This episode features an "act-up conversation" and personal viewpoints. The episode was recorded on April 12, 1990.
Item is a videocassette of a Chinese doctor lecturing in a film studio about the benefits of acupuncture. The Dalhousie Medical School's Radiation and Oncology Department invited the doctor to speak about acupuncture. The tape was requested by Dr. Wong from the Department of Radiology.
Item is a videocassette of a guest lecture by Dr. Purkis who spoke as part of the Dalhousie Medical School's Friday at Four series. The question and answer section of the lecture is not included. Friday at Four was a lecture series sponsored and organized by the School that focused on a variety of subjects by lecturers invited to speak about specialized areas of medicine. The lectures were held each Friday by the School from the 1970s to the 1990s. The tape was requested by Dr. Clark from the Division of Continuing Medical Education.
The fonds consists of records which document the business activities and interests of Adams & Knickle Ltd. from 1897 until 1968. Information contained in this fonds provides insight into the company’s role as a major fishing and shipping partner in the fishing and shipping industry in Nova Scotia. Also included in this fonds is information about the company’s international relations with the various agents engaged in this industry; the types and amounts of fish landed, processed, shipped and sold by the company; the many transactions involved in operating vessels; and various events that impacted on the company’s operations. The types of documents include: affidavits, agent accounts, agreements, catch journals, correspondence, damage claims, deeds, employment records, financial statements, fish sales records, fishing contracts, ledgers, notices of protest, port documents, sailing journals, time journals, vessel accounts and journals, vessel certificates, and vessel shares.
File contains original drawings and blueprint copies of plans for an addition to a house owned by Dalhousie at the corner of Coburg and Oxford (possibly 6414 Coburg Road), that appears to have been used as a private residence: drawings include details for pantry and kitchen cupboards and built-in oak bookcases.
File contains an agenda of presentations about the role of government enterprise in the offshore oil and gas industry, and the fishing joint venture appraised held at Dalhousie University.
File contains the heating plan for the Macdonald Library stack room and second floor, drawn by architect Andrew R. Cobb and Chris Harrington, heating engineer.
Item consists of an annotated typed script of a speech delivered by MacDonald at the opening of the 1951 Highland Games, held in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
