Subseries contains datasets and figures created and used by Ransom Myers and his research team. Series includes web content collected from three websites created by or regarding Myers and his research. The websites are: Myers Lab, RAM legacy and Myers Stock Recruitment database as well as printouts of datasets used for Myers’ research. Web content was collected using ArchiveIt.

Subseries contains three websites by Ransom Myers including RAM legacy, Dr. Ransom A. Myers - Research group website and Ransom Myers' Stock Recruitment Data Base.

Public outreach and public response

Subseries contains records regarding input and response from the public and the media. This includes transcripts from the public hearings and scoping meetings, newspaper clippings, comments from individuals, environmental groups and others, a draft hearing schedule, and other materials.

Friendships

Subseries consists of handwritten and typescript drafts of Budge Wilson's short stories that were included in her anthology "Friendships: Stories." The twelve short stories included in this book are as follows: "Snake"; "Bruno"; "Justice"; "Music Festival"; "My Heroine, Murphy Brown"; "Escape Route"; "Fear"; "Poem"; "Father by Mail"; "Lillian"; "Big Little Jerome"; and "Maid of Honor."

Health and safety committees

Subseries consists of documents produced by the health and safety committees of IBEW Local 1928 and Nova Scotia Power Inc. (NSPI), including the General Safety Committee of NSPI; the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) between NSPI and IBEW Local 1928; and safety committees particular to IBEW units and NSPI work locations. Files include minutes, reports, correspondence, and issues of the “Safety Sentinel,” a report prepared by the Occupational Health and Safety Department of Nova Scotia Power Corporation. Some files with minutes from health and safety committees also contain accident and injury reports.

Halifax Rainbow Health Project

Subseries contains materials relating to NSRAP's participation in the Halifax Rainbow Health Project. Operating between 2004-2006, the Halifax Rainbow Health Project was formed by Capital Health to research ways of increasing access to primary care services for members of Nova Scotia's LGBTQ community. It was a joint effort between the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project, the the AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia, and the Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Youth Project. Materials in subseries include meeting minutes and agendas, correspondence, project proposals, reference and planning materials, job postings, notes, and reports.

Faroe Islands municipal amalgamation book project

Subseries comprises records created and collected by Richard Apostle documenting the development of a book about the amalgamation of municipalities in the Faroe Islands. Records types include correspondence and annotated manuscript drafts of individual chapters.

Izzie : homecoming

Subseries consists of handwritten and typescript drafts of the fourth book in Budge Wilson's Izzie series, "The Homecoming." The book was originally titled "Out of the Night."

Ransom Myers’ correspondence

Subseries contains correspondence between Ransom Myers and researchers, employers, students and prospective students, co-authors, journals, grant agencies, journalists, conference organizers, associations and others. Some correspondence includes manuscripts and off prints.

IBEW Local 1928 Unit records

Subseries consists of records regarding the regular business of units within IBEW Local 1928. Until 2006, there were 21 units representing geographical regions as listed in Local 1928's Bylaws, although they were not necessarily all operational at any given time. In 2006, some units were amalgamated, resulting in 9 units. Each active unit is represented by a chair, vice chair, recorder, and shop steward. Unit records include meeting minutes, reports, and correspondence with the business manager or shop steward. Unit records are available only for those units that forwarded originals or copies to the Halifax office.

Reports of the Nova Scotia Crop Development Institute

Subseries contains records created by the Nova Scotia Crop Development Institute. The NSCDI was established by the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing for the purpose of coordinating and conducting investigative studies associated with forage, grain and vegetable production. Of the nine member of the Board of Directors, two members were to be from the Plant Science Department of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, one of those people who serve shall be the Head of the department. Included are field trial reports of the Nova Scotia Crop Development Institute. The field trial reports highlight information on various field crop trials with details on seeding date, date of harvest, fertilizers, field location, previous crops, management, objectives, and conclusions. Also included are the 1990 terms of reference of the Institute, list of Board of Directors and meeting minutes of monthly and annual or inaugural Board of Directors meetings from May 22, 1990 - June 5, 1992.

Subseries consists of typescript drafts of Wendy Lill's stage play "Chimera."

Subseries contains photocopies and originals of newspaper and magazine articles as well as video of interviews regarding Ransom Myers’ research and personal interests.

Gay men's health and HIV/AIDS

Subseries contains materials documenting NSRAP's research and support work related to HIV/AIDS, including the Gay Men's Health Research Project, and NSRAPS's response to Nova Scotia's Strategy for HIV/AIDS. Materials in subseries include Gay Men's Health Research Project planning and research materials, HIV/AIDS related government policy documents, meeting minutes and agendas, correspondence, and notes.
