File contains a typed filmscript written by Hinds for the Dalhousie Medical School; a list of shots for the film; a document called "Medical Training and Research in Canada's Maritimes" with a handwritten note that says "script from 'old' film"; and a memorandum from Dr. R. Wayne Putnam to Madonna MacDonald about the medical school videotape.

Fourth draft of Atlantic Child Guidance Centre position paper

Item consists of the fourth draft of an Atlantic Child Guidance Centre position paper, dated August 31, 1972, prepared by the Atlantic Child Guidance Centre Policy Committtee (Dr. Alexander Murchison, Dr. G. Gordon, Norris Turner, Paul Norton, Dr. S. Bijoor, and Everett Harris). The item is addressed to "all Atlantic Child Guidance Centre staff for comment" before final submission, and has the goal of ensuring that "adolescents [...] not be forgotten either in terms of bureaucratic strucutre or in terms of submergence in adult designed and orientated programs," and that they "require advocates" to ensure that any public health legislation does not overlook the needs of those who are "underage [... in a] largely adult orientated society."

Item consists of an early draft of a "Group home development proposal" compiled by the Alexander Murchison (and others) for the Group Home Advisory Committee, Children's Aid Society of Halifax, dated March 5, 1973. The committee consisted of Dr. Murchison (chairman), Ron Smith, Pat Corkery, T. Daley, Mrs. Cleveland, and Father O'Neil. The purpose of the document is "to recommend proposals relative to the development of group homes by the Children's Aid Society of Halifax". Item also contains handwritten inked marginal notes and corrections.

The cards are printed on several different colours of heavy card and are held in a small black leather-bound folder.

June Penny interviewed by Nina Abraham

Item is a videocassette of and interview with June Penny for the series "Dalhousie Medical School Remembered." The interviews for this series were conducted in the interviewees' homes, with a few exceptions. The interviews discuss each doctor's memories of attending or teaching at the School, how the School has changed, and impressions of how the medical field has changed over the years. The video was requested by Dr. T.J. Murray from the Dean's Office.

Lab 1 : physiology of muscle

Item is a videocassette of an educational demonstration video, created as part of the curriculum for the Dalhousie Medical School. The video has two parts: "Part A: The Isolated Skeletal Muscle" and "Part B: Frog Cardiac Muscle." The video demonstrates electrical experiments on frog skeletal muscle. The tape was requested by Carol Kafer from the Department of Physiology and Biophysics.

File consists of two handwritten ledgers used by Dalhousie University's MedIT to document requests for video and photography services. Each entry indicates the type of service and provides the name and department of the person(s) who made the request, the date of the request, and other descriptive information.. Entries are listed chronologically and assigned unique numeric identifiers relating to the date of the request. The first volume includes a page that explains MedIT's filing system.

Nuclear medicine and radiotherapy

Item is a videocassette of a guest lecture given by Dr. N. Kulkarni. The lecture may have been part of the Dalhousie Medical School's Friday at Four series, although it is not specifically identified as such. Friday at Four was a lecture series sponsored and organized by the School that focused on a variety of subjects by lecturers invited to speak about specialized areas of medicine. The lectures were held each Friday by the School from the 1970s to the 1990s. The video was requested by Dr. Langstroth.
