Fonds contains textual material, photos, artifacts, slides, paintings, and a video cassette created by the School of Agriculture, the College of Agriculture, and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, between 1892 and 2012. Series include records of an administrative nature, departments on campus, buildings, photographs, student and faculty records, events, curriculum, and the institutions history.
Series contains graphic materials of the students, staff, and faculty of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. There are also photographs of the campus landscape and buildings and also the School of Agriculture or the College of Agriculture as it was originally known. Subseries' include aerial views, animals, buildings, campus events, students, staff, faculty and principals of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College between 1885-2015, as materials may be associated with the Provincial farm or School of Agriculture (pre-1905).
Subseries contains photographs of famous musicians, composers, and actors, many of which are autographed. The photographs were obtained by John Daniel Logan in his capacity as a concert reviewer and for his personal collection. Many of the photographs were sent by the musicians and actors at his request, as evidenced by his correspondence with them.

Items are photographs and a newspaper clipping from the Truro Daily News of Longley House. This residence was on the Blanchard property when it was purchased by the College in 1886. It was used as the residence for college principals on the campus of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. The reverse has in handwriting: "the first house built for college president, at top of hill on College Road, right hand side going up".
File contains photographs of staff and faculty, and probably principals, of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, as well as Ministers of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing. They are posing in front of stones laid at the naming ceremonies of buildings on campus. There are also people in front of building plans, receiving silver places with Cumming Hall engraved on them, and sitting in excavators breaking ground on campus.

This fonds contains a small volume of financial records relating to Charles Davison's grocery business in Hansport, Nova Scotia, including invoices, promissory notes and account statements. There is also a photograph of Davison and a copy of a letter written to his wife.
This photograph of the second brewery on this location, and like its predecessor was also destroyed by fire in 1895. The third brewery built on this location was destroyed in the Halifax Explosion. The vessel show in this photograph was called the "Gambrinus". This photograph was removed from it's frame and included in the fonds.

James Spencer Mitchell was born Jaunary 10, 1861, the son of James Mitchell and Mary Jackson. He was married first to Mary Cunningham and later to Mary Catherine McIntosh. Mitchell died February 24, 1952.
