Fonds contains music manuscripts and published scores, photographs, and autograph letters written by well-known composers such as Jacques Offenbach, Giuseppe Verdi, and John Philip Sousa. Through his work as a music critic and journalist in Toronto and Halifax, Logan communicated with many prominent Canadian musicians in the early twentieth century. Many of the scores, photographs, and autographs included in this collection are a result of his contributions to music criticism. The music and theatre programs are frequently annotated with comments for reviews, and most of his correspondence with musicians and actors relates to his work as a music and theatre critic. Some of the scores were given to Logan as gifts from performers while others were sent to him for review or publication in newspapers. There are several manuscripts of songs by Edith Jessie Archibald, a prominent social activist and suffragist in Halifax. Letters sent to Logan also concern his poetic contributions, and there is a manuscript draft of one of his books, Preludes: Sonnets and other Verses (1906).

It is used during convocation ceremonies and stored in University Hall.

Also included is an account of the activity of the Earltown, Nova Scotia Farm Forum Radio Group from the period of 1961-1962.

National Radio Farm Forum sponsored by the Canadian Association for Adult Education, the Canadian Federation of Agriculture and CBC. Initially, this program was a dramatized discussion of farm problems in wartime, arranged in cooperation with the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, and the Canadian Association for Adult Education. Eventually, it evolved into discussions by individuals from various communities across the country. The program was developed by Orville Shugg and Neil Morrison.

There are two series, one for certificates of Dr. Walsh, and another series for photographs taken at different events such as 4H events, Department of Nova Scotia Agriculture and Marketing conferences, retirement gatherings, and schools, while Walsh was a professor of Animal Husbandry [at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College] and sheep and swine promoter. A Boy From Cherry Hill is a story of a lad who grew up in a warm and loving family on a small farm in Prince Edward Island, Canada. It recounts his experiences and highlights his good fortune through receiving the Eaton Agricultural Scholarship, attending university in both Canada and the U.S. and successful pursuit of a series of career opportunities leading back to the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) where his university studies began. Along the way, the memoir that spans eight decades includes international work and personal interests of the boy from Cherry Hill.
