Fonds consists of administrative files, community involvement details, contract records, correspondence, employee records, financial documents, job estimates and job files, legal documents, photographs, plans, printed material, notes on solar heating projects, sound recordings, and union/association documents, as well as a series with material from the Murphy and Wharton Company. This material spans over 100 years from 1858 to 1987, and illustrates how business was conducted (meetings, annual reports, accounting and financial statements) and the relationship with the community (both charitable and with other businesses). There are also very detailed accounts of the work done by the company, from initial quotes through to project planning, blueprints, product literature, and finishing. Together the items demonstrate the organizational structure, management, and operations of the Powers Brothers company. These items provide insight into business operations in Nova Scotia throughout the late 19th and 20th centuries.

The map is featured in C.W. Vernon's book Bicentenary Sketches and Early Days of The Church in Nova Scotia, Chronicle Printing Company, Halifax, 1910.

Fonds consists of objects, manuscripts, and published works that were collected by Peter Hamilton. Peter was a Nova Scotia Agricultural College alumni, NSAC faculty member, and Registrar of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College for 10 years. Included is a stethoscope that was used for cattle, a Nova Scotia Agricultural College mug, and a blue knit NSAC pullover sweater. The published books and booklets include topics such as livestock husbandry (swine, cattle, poultry), feeding, judging and general agriculture. Most of the publications are Canadian and US government documents, a few textbooks were also included.

Correspondence includes letters to, from, and about Renton and are primarily theatre-related. The scripts were accumulated by Renton throughout his career as an actor, director, and producer. The fonds also includes photographs and slides of numerous theatrical productions.
