Series consists of correspondence from family and friends, office day planners during Borgese's employment at Dalhousie University, address books, curriculum vitaes and related biographical materials, newspaper and magazine clippings about the Mann family, legal forms concerning familial estates, a few financial documents, and some ephemera such as award certificates. The series also includes material collected by the International Oceans Institute in Halifax after Borgese's death, such as letters of condolence and a programme from her memorial service.
File includes a first draft of "Resolution XXX of the General Assembly," prepared for the 1968-1969 session of the United Nations. The draft is accompanied by a memorandum from Elisabeth Mann Borgese to the staff at the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions, discussing the sources of several ideas in the draft.

The eighth statement was made to the Expanded Committee on Planning and Coordination Committee of the Economic and Social Council on 2 June 1970. The ninth statement was made to the Coordination Committee of the Economic and Social Council on 10 July 1970. The tenth statement was made to the committee on the Peaceful Uses of the Sea-bed and the Ocean Floor on 12 August 1970.
