File consists of two handwritten letters by Charles Tupper. One letter is an 1887 letter of introduction to Sir Andrew Clark regarding Mr. Freeborn, a Canadian medical student in London. The second letter was written in 1911 to Mrs. J. Ross Smith in Amherst, Nova Scotia thanking her for an earlier correspondence regarding election results.

Transcriptions of this material were written by Mrs. I.M. Parfitt (Margaret MacDonald's daughter); these are annotated and include notes on the family and draft sections of a family biography. Also included in the fonds are letters from Willie H. Cameron to his cousin, Margaret MacDonald, written in 1918 from Halifax and Camp Bramshott, Surrey.
