Item is a manuscript of Hid Treasure, or The Labours of a Deacon and Other Poems dated April 29, 1919, which is possibly when the pages were taped into the bound scrapbook with the title embossed on the spine. A contents page lists both published and unpublished poems, including "Betula Nigra," "The Prince's Lodge," and the title poem, "Hid Treasure." The manuscript date is unknown, but the poems themselves range in date from ca.1839-1886. Robert R.J. Emmerson's name appears as co-author on the title page, but it has been scratched out along with the second of two epigraphs.
Fonds consists primarily of correspondence from the period during which Weldon was a Member of Parliament, and includes personal and business letters. There are also telegrams, bills, invoices, and a geometry textbook from Weldon's studies at Mount Allison. Also included are prints of family photographs, circa 1870's-1890's.

Notebook also includes 1890 notes regarding his library, recipes, and a record of cheese production.
Item is a diary kept by Arthur H. Whitman that describes a trip to England between November, 30 1888 and January 17, 1889. The diary contains daily entries that describe Whitman's activities, church attendance, meals, business and social visits, and letters sent and received. Many entries describe his meetings about apples. The diary also records money received and paid.
File consists of a plumber's estimate for installation of fixtures and plumbing at St. Patrick's Girls School and Dumaresq's notes regarding alterations, probably for the same project.
File contains J. Frank McMahon's registration tickets for the Halifax Medical College (Dalhousie College and University Medical Faculty) and his attendance/examination cards for Anatomy, Materia Medica, Practical Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Botany, and Chemistry. The cards are printed on several different colours of heavy card and are held in a small black leather-bound folder.

Item is a black-bordered letter written to [Maria?] Clarke from her cousin in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia relating the news of her sister's death and funeral.
