Robinson (representing the Committee on Fellowships, and Dean Haskins of Harvard University), who thanks Archibald McKellar MacMechan for his praise of Daniel Cobb Harvey. Robinson says his qualifications are great enough to bestow upon Harvey the Bayard Cutting Fellowship, even though Harvey hadn't completed a period of residence at Harvard.

Item is a minute book kept during the meetings of the Medical Relief Committee of Dartmouth. The committee met regularly in late 1917-1918 to discuss the care of Dartmouth patients following the 1917 Halifax Explosion. The book, which was kept by Dr. M.G. Burris, details meetings and efforts to coordinate with the relief activities with the Medical Relief Committee of Halifax. Burris added two pages of notes in June 1944 with information about committee members, the Dartmouth hospitals managed by the committee, and remunerations paid to physicians by the Medical Relief Committee.

Letter of support for Dr. Daniel Cobb Harvey from Archibald McKellar MacMechan to Edwin Laftus

Item is three sheets of paper. The first sheet is folded to make two additional pages. The letter is Archibald MacMechan's recommendation to Edwin Laftus, that Daniel Harvey should receive the position of lecturer in History at Dalhousie University. A P.S. note by MacMechan also recommends an article that Harvey wrote for the Rhodes Foundation.

Item consists of handwritten correspondence from Owen Bell Jones to Archibald MacMechan, dated March 7, 1923, from Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, frankly discussing his struggles with his recovery amid fears he is "slowly becoming a wreck; [often] feeling useless and frightened" and angered by not being told his poor prognosis and difficulty of recovery back in 1917.

The correspondence contained herein discusses disagreements over the promises of wages granted to enlisted men from railway companies as a result of two different circulars being signed in relatively short order.

Balcom, regarding events at the Bramshott Camp, Hants., the No. 9 Canadian Stationary Hospital, and the No. 12 Canadian Stationary Hospital, during and shortly after the First World War. Correspondence sent from Major S.G. Chown, Colonel H.M. Robertson, and Lt.-Col. H.E. Randall.

Item, a photograph, is a duplicate of MS-2-202, Box 51, Folder 15, Item 6 in subseries Thomas Head Raddall's loose photographs. A duplicate copy can be found in MS-2-202, Box 51, Folder 15. The photograph was taken outside of Raddall, Sr.'s uncle Frank's shop in East Dulwich while Raddall, Sr. was on holiday. Frank is second from the left.
