Item is a copy of The Alumni News (Volume 20, Number 1, published by the Dalhousie Alumni Association. Numbering for this new series restarted in 1943. Issue includes an article by Prof. W.A. MacKay about the law school and an announcement about Henry Hicks' appointment as Dalhousie's new president.

Item consists of a facsimile draft of an agreement -- dated March 25, 1968 -- between the Dalhousie Board of Governors and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada (via the Department of the Secretary of State, which oversees the National Museum of Canada) regarding the loaning and preservation of Labrador duck specimens from the Thomas McCulloch Museum to the National Museum of Canada.

Lynton Martin, Elisabeth A. Christian, D.H. McNeill, K.E. von Maltzhan, and W. Earl Godfrey.

Item is a photograph of a meeting of the Canadian commission to the United Nations Ecenomic, Social and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. Henry Hicks, the vice-president of the commission, is seated at the far right and the president of the commission is speaking at a podium. Hicks was president of the commission from 1963 to 1967.
