Items are brochures titled "A brief history of Nova Scotia Agricultural College", no date, 2 copies. The forward is written by William A. Jenkins, NSAC principal between 1964-1972. The brochure is 17 pages, illustrated, some colour. Text by W.J. Hawkins ; art direction by Thomas J. Fennell, Nova Scotia Information Service ; photographs by Sherman Hines.

The tickets are for the following courses: Physiology (taught by John Somers); Clinical Surgery (taught by Edward Farrell and John F. Black); Practical Anatomy (taught by D.A. Campbell and A.W.H. Lindsay; with notes on dissection of extremities); Chemistry (taught by George Lawson); Anatomy (taught by George Sinclair); Materia Medica (taught by John F. Black); and Botany (taught by Benjamin G. Page).

Certification tickets from Montreal General Hospital and University of McGill College

File contains three certification tickets received by Arthur Charles Hawkins during the 1884-1885 session at the University of McGill College and Montreal General Hospital. The first two tickets confirm that Hawkins acted as a clinical clerk and a dresser in the surgical wards of Montreal General Hospital for three months ending in March 1885, as certified by Thomas G. Roddick, MD. The third ticket confirms Hawkins's enrolment in a Clinical Surgery course at McGill University, under Roddick's tutelage.

The tickets are for: Clinical Medicine (taught by A.P. [Alexander] Reid and John Somers); Surgery (taught by W.E. [Edward] Farrell); and Clinical Surgery (taught by W.E. [Edward] Farrell and J.F. [John] Black); a student ticket for the Provincial and City Hospital authorized by Andrew J. Cowie and Edward Farrell; a Dalhousie College registration ticket for the 1885-1986 session (authorized by John Forrest, Principal); an incomplete ticket for a German course (1885-1886 session); and a library ticket (1881-1982 session) authorized by James Ross.

File contains one pin produced in support of activist Karen Andrews and her struggle to have her same sex partnership and co-parented children recognized as a family under Ontario health legislation. Pin has a white background and is printed with white text that reads "WE ARE FAMILY—Karen Andrews/Local 1996—Access to OHIP Committee".

File contains one round, black pin with a triangular rainbow in the centre. The rainbow is overlaid with that purple text reading "2000" and white text below that reads "Waves of Pride".

File contains one hand-painted banner produced or collected by the Gay and Lesbian Association (GALA) for the 1995 Halifax Pride parade. Banner is painted on a white piece of fabric, and features pink text outlined in black that reads "PRIDE '95". Banner also features two black circles filled with pink triangles on either side of the text.

In memoriam banner

File contains one handmade banner produced or collected by the Gay and Lesbian Association (GALA). Banner is a tie-dyed piece of white fabric with handwritten text in marker that reads "In Memoriam—Killed by Nazis—Killed by AIDS—Killed by Halifax—QUEER BASHERS", with tombstones drawn next to each line of text displaying the years during which members of the LGBT community were killed by each respectively entity.
