Water resources

This series contains textual and graphic material on water resources in Nova Scotia, which includes water quality, water sheds, tides, etc. These were published between 1911-1990.


This series consists of books and other textual records relating to poultry, which includes husbandry, plucking, etc. These were published between 1819-1942.


This series consists of 42 publications, which is comprised of 40 books and 2 miscellaneous textual records relating to entomology. These were published by the Nova Scotia Institute of Science, the Canadian Department of Agriculture, and the United States Department of Agriculture, published between 1915-1983.

Lectures and addresses

This series contains manuscript versions of speeches made by Raddall and, in a few cases, research material, correspondence, and/or a published version.

Thomas Head Raddall's scrapbooks

Two of the scrapbooks--those relating to his publications--were compiled in the offices of McClelland and Stewart; three others were compiled by Raddall himself; and the sixth was presented to Raddall after the opening of a public library branch in Halifax named in his honour. The scrapbooks include clippings, correspondence, memorabilia, and photographs.

Radio and television broadcast scripts

Series contains more than two dozen typescripts (unless otherwise noted) of Thomas Head Raddall's radio and television broadcasts. The bulk of these are his own scripts, not others' adaptations of his work.
