This fonds contains records about the National Radio Farm Forum, including the operations of the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick regions. Records consists of pamphlets, correspondence, memos, guides, annual reports and minutes from the regional and national meetings and conferences, 2 booklets, and an account of the activity of the Earltown, Nova Scotia Farm Forum Radio Group from the period of 1961-1962. Some of the records were created and collected by Longly and C.A. Douglas, as well as regional secretary Rosemary Campbell. It was a national rural listening-discussion group project sponsored by the Canadian Association for Adult Education, the Canadian Federation of Agriculture and CBC. Initially, this program was a dramatized discussion of farm problems in wartime, arranged in cooperation with the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, and the Canadian Association for Adult Education. Eventually, it evolved into discussions by individuals from various communities across the country. Fonds contains Jean Mason Pell's broadcast scripts for The Gillans, a dramatic radio serial about a farming family produced for the Maritime version of CBC's Farm Family, which aired from 1941-1971. It was written by Norman Creighton and Kay Hill until 1949, when Jean Pell took over as the scriptwriter until the serial's final season in 1971. Scripts for the program, which aired every weekday, are arranged in chronological order; the occurrence of "emergency scripts," which were substituted when one or more characters were unable to perform, resulted in some episode numbers being skipped or numbered out of order.

The accession contains index cards originally stored in 10 small plastic boxes and 1 long cardboard box. The cards were created by Trevor Bebb and contain entries from various shipping registers. The cards describe vessels, captains, and sailors. The accession also contains two oversized ledgers from the nineteenth century and several manuscript sheets of poetry. One plastic box was empty when it entered the archives.

The Impossible Museum fonds

Fonds contains a selection of documents, drawings, material samples, and images collected by D'Arcy Wilson and Lisa Bouraly during a two-year research project focused on Thomas McCulloch and Andrew Downs. The fonds is part of an exhibition, the "Impossible Museum," curated by Lisa Bouraly and featuring works by D'Arcy Wilson and Amy Malbeuf. The exhibition is presented by Eyelevel Gallery in the Thomas McCulloch Museum in the Dalhousie University Life Sciences Centre from March 5 to April 30, 2020.

Material includes a selection of texts and notes tracing Bouraly's research while preparing the exhibition. These documents were selected by Wilson from Bouraly's collection. Fonds also includes an encapsulated drawing of Thomas McCulloch, material swatches linked to one of the works in the exhibition, scraps and drawings left over from a collage, photographs of works in progress, a copy of the exhibition essay, and other material related to the exhibition. Fonds also includes photocopies of several nineteenth century texts reviewed by Bouraly during her research.

The file box includes a pair of white gloves and a list of materials in the box.
