File contains notes and the manuscript of a lecture given by Archibald MacMechan at the Conference of Professors of English in Edmonton on November 9, 1927.
Fonds consists of a typescript of law lectures given by George F. Curtis at Dalhousie University in January 1939. Fonds also contains correspondence pertaining to meetings held in 1945 in the Maritimes and British Columbia to discuss the establishment of a world court for permanent peace.
Item consists of a handwritten address delivered by Arthur Stanley MacKenzie at the closing exercises for the graduates of the Halifax School for the Blind, June 9, 1913.
Fonds consists of a wide variety of materials related to the personal life and professional activities of David Braybrooke. Records include personal materials such as biographical information, curricula vitae, financial records, personal correspondence, school records and memorabilia; records related to committees and associations such as meeting reports, professional correspondence and transcripts of speeches; publications by Braybrooke and others; research documentation and manuscripts; and teaching materials including lecture transcripts, examinations, assignments and student correspondence.
Fonds comprises editorial reports and notes made by Jefferys on works by Thomas Chandler Haliburton. Also included is a letter from Robert Glasgow, Managing Director of The Publishers Association of Canada, outlining the agreement of editorial and illustration work undertaken by Jefferys on a multi-volume series of the works of Haliburton. In addition, there is a typescript of a talk written by Jeffreys regarding his illustrations for the project.
File contains a bound pamphlet with David L. Johnston's 1995 Killam Lecture, "Research at Canadian Universities and the Knowledge Based Society." The lecture was delivered to an invited audience of over 300 at Hart House, University of Toronto, on Friday, November 3, 1995.
Series contains articles and other writings such as speeches, poems, and plays. The types of records included here are drafts, clippings of published articles, copies of publications containing these articles, and some related notes and correspondence.
File contains a speech made by Joyce Barkhouse at the NSLA in Sydney in 1990. Materials also include a handwritten letter and two stories, "The ?'s daughter" (unpublished and discusses George Dawson) and "The Diamond Ring" (which discusses Aunt Millie and Uncle Fred, florist and owner of the Nova Scotia Nursery in Halifax).
Series contains records related to published books including Abraham Gesner, Anna's Pet, George Dawson: The Little Giant, The Pit Pony, The Purple Cloak, The Smallest Rabbit, The Witch of Port LaJoye, The Lost Ship, and The Story of Little Martin. Types of records included here are drafts, galleys, published books, research materials, sketches, and audio-visual materials relating to published works.
File contains a copy of "Smallest Rabbit" by Joyce Barkhouse and illustrated by Barbara Martin, published by Lancelot Press, along with correspondence regarding the book and photographs of Barkhouse and Martin with the book. The file also contains a copy of Barkhouse's speech about the book, a partial draft, and order form.
File contains correspondence from Janet Lunn, including both handwritten and typed letters. File also includes a lecture for the Margaret Laurence Memorial Lecture.
File consists of the hand-written speech of Budge Wilson given at the Hubbards Writer's Festival held in honour of Budge Wilson's writing accomplishments.
File contains a copy of a published talk by Budge Wilson entitled "Margaret Laurence, Listener." The memorial talk was originally delivered at the Wenjack Theatre at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario on February 2, 1987. It was later published in the Canadian Woman Studies Journal (Volume 8, Number 3).
