Breaking free into the light [painting by Reverend Dr. Victor Bruce Holker Pellegrin]

One painting entitled Breaking Free Into the Light by painter Reverend Dr. Victor Bruce Holker Pellegrin, PhD. The painting depicts three nude male figures in various poses, surrounded by bars. The painting was produced for Ross Boutilier and his partner, Brian Mombourquette, and was displayed at Safe Harbour Metropolitan Community Church.

Landscape painting

File contains a watercolour painted and signed by Kenneth Leslie, presumably in the late-1930s. The painting depicts a rural setting -- quite likely of somewhere in Pictou County -- with a brown fence in the fore-ground, a narrow peninsula stretching into a river, with low hills in the distance.

File contains an undated and incomplete self-portrait, drawn and painted by Kenneth Leslie, likely from the late-1930s. Leslie's head has been fully painted while the rest of his body and the background remain unpainted, a penciled drawing. On the verso of the painting, Leslie has written the following: "This is a self-portrait of / myself when in misery from / the loss of my family. / Ken". It relates to the collapse of his first marriage, wherein his first wife, Elizabeth Moir, left Leslie, taking their children with her.

Brock University : The Rover

Subseries contains 24 costume designs and two posters related to Brock University's 2002 production of The Rover by Aphra Behn. The production took place February 14-16, 2002 at the Sean O'Sullivan Theatre and was presented by the Theatre, Dramatic Literature & Drama in Education program at Brock University.

Sheep and wool photographs

Subseries contains 135 photographs and 3 paintings. Some of these photographs have attached newspaper clippings, pamphlets, postcard, or article. Graphic materials depict sheep and lambs of various breeds in various farms, pastures, and exhibition events. Additionally, there are photographs of members of sheep related associations and businesses taken between 1940-2002.

Henry Orenstein's records

Series consists of Henry Orenstein's materials regarding his professional activities, including photographs, negatives, sketches, programs, flyers, posters, postcards, slides, correspondence and other materials. Fonds contains several of Henry Orenstein's art pieces and sketches, including related to the "Sudbury Industrial Landscape" project. In the 1950s, Henry Orenstein was commissioned by the Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers of Sudbury to paint a mural for the local union hall, which was the centre of a broad-ranging cultural role of Mine Mill Local 598 in the Sudbury area. At that time, Mine Mill was in the midst of a series of raids by the United Steelworkers.

Series contains graphic materials of the students, staff, and faculty of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. There are also photographs of the campus landscape and buildings and also the School of Agriculture or the College of Agriculture as it was originally known. Subseries' include aerial views, animals, buildings, campus events, students, staff, faculty and principals of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College between 1885-2015, as materials may be associated with the Provincial farm or School of Agriculture (pre-1905).
