Sketch of Morton's Medical Warehouse

File is a reproduction of a sketch from The Nova Scotia Museum Centennial Collection. Inscription: The Medical Warehouse, built about 1850, was situated at the corner of Granville and George Streets. The site is now occupied by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. After a photograph courtesy of The Nova Scotia Museum.

Item is a glass plate of a drawing of Rev. Thomas McCulloch, D.D. The drawing by Arthur Lismer itself is based on a painting of McCulloch by Daniel Munro. The drawing was commissioned and used for history books on Dalhousie University, like One hundred years of Dalhousie 1818-1918 (1920), and Daniel Cobb Harvey's, An introduction to the history of Dalhousie (1938).

Item is a portrait of Lord Dalhousie copied from an earlier painting; the decorative border framing the drawing is partially rendered on paper and affixed to the illustration board. The drawing was commissioned for One Hundred Years of Dalhousie, 1818–1918 (1920), and reproduced in D.C. Harvey, An Introduction to the History of Dalhousie University (1938).

Item consists of a charcoal and pencil study sketch by D.C. Mackay in the early 1940s showing a two officers standing on the deck of a surfaced submarine, pointing pistols at an unarmed sailor. One figure is slumped onto the deck of the submarine. Two sailors on a vessel alongside point rifles at the submarine's deck gun operator, who recoils.

Item consists of a page with seven small charcoal and pencil sketches by D.C. Mackay, likely in the early 1940s. The first sketch shows a three-masted sailing vessel, fore and portside. The second sketch shows a portside view of a three-masted sailing vessel. The third sketch (marked "1.") is of Admiral [Edward] Boscawen at Louisbourg. The fourth sketch (marked "2.") is a rough map of Canada. The fifth sketch (marked "3." and captioned "IMP DEF, Port of sh detailed squadron") shows a rough portside sketch of a three-masted sailing vessel. The sixth sketch (marked "4." is a portrait of Provo Wallis. The seventh sketch (marked "5." and captioned "Ang German policy, fleet at Alexandria") shows a portside sketch of an unidentified vessel.
