Item consists of a page with seven small charcoal and pencil sketches by D.C. Mackay, likely in the early 1940s. The first sketch shows a three-masted sailing vessel, fore and portside. Item consists of a charcoal and pencil drawing by D.C. Mackay in the early 1940s of two officers making navigational observations while on convoy duty aboard HMCS Restigouche. One person is holding a pair of binoculars, while another uses navigational equipment. Mackay identifies the two men as HN (Hospitalman) Layard, and Lt. Rowland, of the Restigouche.
