File is an undated manuscript with the full title "Being an Investigation into how another Society regards its Black citizens and the Role assigned to them; the sources being the Acts and Fancies of the People as appear in the columns of their daily Journals, or, The Racial Bag: Some More Groovy Prejudices." The manuscript includes a brief glossary of terms, newspapers transcriptions as well as pasted clippings.
File contains an 1841 land grant to Isidore Theboult for land in Digby. Also includes correspondence between members of the Hardy family in Massachusetts and Digby, and two newspapers from Massachusetts and Nova Scotia with mentions of the Hardy family.
File contains a Public Schools of Nova Scotia head master certificate, report cards, a letter sent to Margaret Jane, a poem titled "The Mother," newspaper clippings regarding Margaret Jane's death, and a photograph of Margaret Jane in which she appears to be between 20-30 years old.
File contains copies of newspaper clippings that John Daniel Logan collected, mostly of concert reviews, including concerts that he attended. Many of the clippings do not include the date or name of the newspaper that he retrieved the review from.

MacGregor, "The Farmers Candidates," entitled "The Policy of the Government in Respect to AGRICULTURE is Centralized at the Provincial College and Farm at Truro."
File contains loose annotated papers, and newspaper clippings from A.W. Shatford. Clippings include "The Morality of Agnostics" and "Epicurus Restated."
File contains the sheet music for a song by Paul Heinrich with words by Dr. Charles H. Baltzer (published in 1910). The front cover is autographed by Baltzer and a note on the last page indicates that it was sent from Baltzer of Middleton, Nova Scotia. The file also includes 7 poems by Baltzer (not set to music): "Charity," "Apostrophe to the Sun," "The Tree," "To Next Summer,""A Bachelor's Lament,""Frost Ere Roses," and "Greed." Some of the poems are from newspaper clippings and others indicate that they were published in the Halifax Chronicle and the Halifax Herald.

File is loosely organized into two sections: Nova Scotia beaver and Norway beaver. Both sections contain correspondence to and from government officials, biologists, academics, and industry consultants regarding research for and publication of Alexander Leighton's study on beaver mental characteristics. The Norway section also contains excerpts from Norwegian newspapers. There is also a set of handwritten notes titled "Outline for study of the Beaver: D. Cross & A.H. Leighton."
