A newspaper caption on the back of the photograph reads: "Dalhousie to the forefront again: G. E. (Ted) Brown, prominent over the years in Alumni Association activities and currently an association representative on the university's Board of Governors, was elected president of the Nova Scotia Association of Architects at its annual meeting last month. James G. Sykes, Director of Planning and Development at the university, was elected a councillor of the association."
