Saskatchewan Ceramicists exhibition

File consists of records related to the Saskatchewan Ceramicists exhibition presented at the Dalhousie Art Gallery from August 2 to September 7, 1976.

Fonds consists of correspondence, financial documents, journals and ledgers, legal documents, photographs, plans, printed material, and reports. This material spans almost 60 years and gives insight into a company which changed hands several times, and also represented an important part of Nova Scotia industry. Through the material one is able to get a complete picture of the process of manufacturing pulp, from acquiring timber and land to machinery and labour used, to exporting the end product; it also demonstrates how business was conducted. Fonds demonstrates the organizational structure, management, and operations of the Scott Paper company, and provide insight into business operations in Nova Scotia in the 20th century.

Scrapbook oddities an exhibition circulated by the Confederation Center, PEI

File consists of records related to the exhibition 'Scrapbook Oddities' organized and circulated by the Confederation Art Gallery and Museum, Charlottetown, P.E.I.. The exhibition was presented at Dalhousie Art Gallery from February 28 to March 20, 1972.

Fonds consists of correspondence, notes, briefs and reports, meeting minutes, financial records, circulars, photographs, and other records relating to the fishing and fish processing industry in Atlantic Canada and government regulations of the fisheries. Also included are similar types of records from sister organizations the Atlantic Fishing Vessel Association, Atlantic Fisheries By-Products Association, and Atlantic Queen Crab Association.

Second Dalhousie drawing exhibition

File consists of records related to the second annual Dalhousie drawing exhibition, held at Dalhousie Art Gallery from January 7 to February 4, 1977. The artists who participated in this exhibition were Charles Gagnon, Yves Gaucher, Betty Goodwin, Roland Poulin, Marthe Wery, and Irene Whittome.

Records consist of newspaper clippings, insurance files, lists of expenses, interdepartmental memos, invoices, correspondence regarding grants and catalogues, biographies for each artist, and packing instructions. Also includes an invitation card and a photograph.

Sedgley, Adelaide

File contains a handwritten letter dated January 8th, 1972 and written by Adelaide Sedgley, sent to Kenneth and Nora Leslie. The file expresses Adelaide's appreciation for having such wonderful friends as the Leslies at the age of 91, and expressing gratitude at receiving Leslie's volume of poems, and the "joy [...it] gave to this ancient admirer!"

Selections from the westburne collection

File consists of records relating to the exhibition 'Selections from the Westburne Collection,' organized and circulated by the Edmonton Art Gallery and sponsored by Westburne Industrial Enterprises Ltd. The exhibition was presented at the Dalhousie Art Gallery from April 28 to June 5, 1983.

Records consist mainly of correspondence with the Edmonton Art Gallery and the Westburne Industrial Enterprises Ltd. The file also includes clippings and photographs- two paintings from the Westburne collection and three opening reception photographs.

Sexual health survey

File contains four sexual health surveys distributed by AIDS Nova Scotia (then Metro Area Committee on AIDS), related notes and correspondence, and one report detailing the results of a sexual health survey completed in Quebec.

Series contains textual records related to the sheep industry created by the Sheep Producer's Association of Nova Scotia between 1958-2002. Shillaker, Robert

File contains two undated letters -- one typed and one handwritten -- sent by Robert Shillaker (Sierra Madre, CA) to Kenneth and Nora Leslie. One letter, likely from late 1972, concerns Shillaker's receipt of an issue of "New Man" containing Kurt Anderson's and Jim Garrison's writings, with requests to be put in contact with the publication The Churchman. The second letter first expresses happiness at receipt of a copy of 'O'Malley to the Reds', before commenting on Leslie's apparent "turning away from orthodox Christianity", as well as his enrolling in the School of Esoteric Studies in New York, and further comments on the ongoing war in Vietnam.
