Biographical history

Dr. Sinclair was born in Summerside, PEI in 1926. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1944-1945 and volunteered in the Canadian Pacific Force at the end of the European War.

He graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1952 and continued with post-graduate studies in Surgery in Vancouver and London, England. He specialized in Orthopaedic Surgery and started an Orthopaedic practice in Halifax in 1960.

Dr. Sinclair was appointed Orthopaedic Surgeon-in-Chief at the Halifax Children's Hospital and was later involved in the development of the department at the Izaak Walton Killam Hospital for Children.

He was an active member in several professional associations. Most notably, he was a founding member and Past-president of the Atlantic Provinces Orthopaedic Society. He passed away on November 19, 1987.

Materials were accessioned by the Dalhousie University Archives in 1984. Custodial history is unknown.
