Fonds comprises exam questions, debating notes, dance cards, invitations, sorority notes, pins and other memorabilia from McCurdy's student years at Dalhousie University. There are also records (correspondence, financial statements, clippings, menus) from university reunions in 1938, 1967 and 1977.
File contains two laminated cards with photographs and descriptions of Freda Winfield and Roy McKeen Wiles, two members of the Dalhousie University class of 1927. The photographs and biographies are photocopied from a yearbook or some other publication. Each card has a hanger made of gold ribbon.
File contains a Christmas card; a card asking for pledges for the class of '27-'28 memorial window; and a program for Class day on May 14, 1928. The items were mailed to Avis Marshall.
File contains two copies of a Christmas card from the officers of the Dalhousie University class of 1927; an invitation to a social event hosted by the graduates of the maritime universities; a dance card and tickets from a Dalhousie reunion ball; a handbook from a Dalhousie reunion; a program and menu from a Dalhousie reunion banquet; and a program from a Dalhousie reunion. Most of the items are from reunions in 1938.
File contains a commemorative dollar from the Joseph Howe Festival in 1983. One side of the coin has an image of Joseph Howe and the other side has an image of an oil rig or some other kind of ocean platform. The coin has an expiration date of October 15, 1983.
File contains correspondence related to Dalhousie reunions and other alumni events for the class of 1926 and class of 1927. The correspondence is from F. Murray Fraser, president of the class of 1927; G. W. I. Creighton; Bruce G. Irwin, Director of Alumni Affairs; and Murray Rankin, Life Treasurer of the class of 1927. The correspondence includes lists of alumni from the classes of 1926 and 1927.
File contains dance cards from dances hosted by Delta Gamma, the Dalhousie students' council, and other Dalhousie groups; a crepe paper bow worn by Avis Marshall during initiation as a Dalhousie "freshette"; and a copy of a philosophy examination.
File contains a cutout of the Delta Gamma logo; dance cards from dances hosted by the Delta Gamma Society and other groups; a program from four plays by the Dalhousie class in modern drama; correspondence from Jig from the Rosedale United Church to Avis Marshall; and newspaper clippings about Hugh Robert Peel, Maurice Terciera, and Penelope Rathburn Peel.
File contains a lapel pin from Delta Gamma, a women's society at Dalhousie University. The pin features the Greek letters "delta gamma" inside of the letter "D."

The invitations are for a dance by the junior class of the Faculty of Arts and Science; a sale of gifts and novelties from the Hwaiking Shop; an "at home" at the Pine Hill residence; a dance at Kings College; and an "at home" at the Waegwoltic Club.

One dance card has an attached pencil.

The clippings are from the Halifax Herald, the Evening Mail, and an unidentified newsletter.

James Carroll Players.

File contains handwritten notes from speeches delivered by a Dalhousie sophomore student (probably Avis Marshall) during the hazing of "freshettes" (first-year female students). Some are written on the back of unrelated typed notes.
